This year’s FVAMC Road Run takes place this Sunday, 21st April 2019 starting at 10.00 am from Bruckley Farm, near Guardbridge, St Andrews, KY16 9YF.

This year, the route will take us around North East Fife, taking in the villages of Strathkinness, Balmullo, Dairsie, Tayport and Balmerino, with a stop at the Tay Bridge for lunch. With the weather forecast looking sunny and warm for this weekend, it’s a good chance to blow the cobwebs off your tractor after a long winter in the shed, so come along and join us on the run!

A reminder that all drivers should have a full driving licence and insurance to take part in the run.

Entry fee for the run: £10 – pay on the day.

For any enquiries, please contact Jim Jack on 07980  782775

Tractor World Show 2019

The Tractor World Scotland show is on this weekend (23/24th March 2019) at the Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston. Come along and see us on our stand, featuring exhibits and machinery related to the themes of our Rally this year, Farming in WW2 and Neeps. We’ll also have the top prize in our Charity Raffle on display, a 1964 Super Dexta. This year we are supporting the Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) with our charity raffle. SCAA operate Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance helicopter from their base in Scone and provide a vital rapid response service for emergencies in many of Scotland’s more rural and remote areas.

The Tractor World Scotland show is now in it’s second year and has moved to the larger Highland Hall at the Royal Highland Centre with lots more exhibitors, trade stands and stalls. If you’ve not already been to the show, the final day this year is Sunday 24th March, so come along and see us on the FVAMC stand!

Club Dinner

The Club dinner will be held on Friday, 7th December at the Lomond Hills Hotel. If you’ve not already done so, could you please let John Sinksi know if you plan to come along so that he can confirm numbers with the hotel.

Doddie Weir Charity Presentation

Club Chairman John Sinski and club members presenting the cheque to Doddie Weir

It was a pleasure to welcome Doddie Weir along to the September club meeting where Chairman John Sinski presented Doddie with a cheque for £3,000 for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. The Foundation funds research into finding a cure for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and offers support and help to people who have already been diagnosed with the condition. Following on from his talk to the club earlier in the year, Doddie gave us an update on current and future medical research into MND and talked about some of the things the Foundation is doing to help people living with the condition. On behalf of Doddie and the Club, thanks once again to everyone who bought tickets in our Prize Draw Raffle this year which helped us to support this very worthwhile cause.
